Default Rotten Egg Smell??

I've a 2002 Accord V6 w/ 90k. Every once in a while I smell "rotten eggs". any clues as to where it is coming from?? Also, my spedo is erratic. works fine most days, and then it will die for a couple of miles, then start working again.. Again,, any clues?? Tks in Advance..

lol Rotten Egg Smell

A sulfur (Rotten Egg) odor from your car's tailpipe does not necessarily indicate that there is an issue with your cat or the running condition of your car, but is most likely directly related to your fuel. Have you recently changed over to winter gas or changed gas manufacture/station? If it is your cat your ECU/02 sensor should throw a CEL, no CEL probably high sulfer content in your gas. If your CEL light is ON, check for the codes. If you do not have any CEL codes try a different source of fuel.

cat converter.....usually happens in colder weather caused by excessive sulfer in the gas
