Hey all,

I woke up this morning to go to school and when I pressed the unlock button on the keyless remote, the car lights flashed but the doors would not unlock. The doors do open with the key, they just dont unlock and lock with the remote. I own a 99 EX coupe 4cyl. Anybody know what could be causing this?

if its a factory alarm, dealer may need to reset.

yeah it is a factory alarm.

Im not sure if it needs to be reset because when I hit the unlock switch from the inside of the car, the driver side lock does not move, yet the passenger side does. Something is wrong with the driver side lock.

Might be a bad lock actuator. Does it have power and ground going to it?

this same thing happen to my 5th gen just last week... im purchasing a set of actuators off a member on the site to get rid of the problem... from all the hondas ive owned the actutors usually make a funny buzz before they go... they dont just die out with out warning/malfunction.

i have the same problem with my car. driver's side does not work but passenger works. the thing is, the driver side works when the car is running tho. :?

So I get ready to get something to eat for lunch...and my door locks start working. Haha, whatever...I was actually going to see what was wrong with the driver side lock today...but I guess all is well now.

it might just be a loose wiring, the connectors for the actuator is right behind the doorpanel, so maybe a good knock or kick would damage the connectors. if it doe it again give that a look.
