Please help brake caliper problem!!!
Im new to the accord and made a huge mistake when changing my rear brake pads. After removing the brake pads I didn't know how push the caliber piston back in so I got frustrated and decided to step on the brake a few times which forced the piston to pop out of the cylinder. my question is do I need to buy a new one or a used one at a junk or should I just try to insert the piston in with the rubber boot? if so, is there anything that I should be aware of? lmk asap thank you in advance.

The rear calipers are the corkscrew style, they need to be twisted rather than pushed hence the slots on the piston...there's a special tool for that (caliper wind back tool)...I can honestly say I've never had that happen, but it may be possible to put the piston back in...I would assume since there are rebuild kits but I don't want to mislead you

I would just pull another from the junkyard. Calipers don't go bad often. They have rebuild kits but I've never rebuilt one, i've only pulled from the junkyard a couple times or so.
