Default please this accord needs help

I have a 86 accord. I know you guys will think its old but its my winter beater car and after driving it for a couple of minutes it stalls. the rpms just drop to idle and the car wont go anymore even when i press the gas pedal but the car doesnt die for about 1 minute after the car stalled I've replaced the spark plugs, cap and rotor, 2 fuel filters, and the ignition coil, but it still have the same problems. Also one more thing the car idles really high sometimes over 2k and it wont come down unless you press the gas pedal then it come down to where its should normally be, any help will be appreciated, thanks

Sounds like time for a good carb cleaning & adjustment and/or overhaul. It's normal for the carb'd engines to fast idle at about 2000 when their cold, and with a carb you do have to tap the gas to get the idle to come down (there's a choke).

Could still be something like a fuel pump though.... hard to say. My first guess would still be the carb though.
