88 Accord Idle Hunts up and down when in park and car is warm. any ideas?
my 1988 accord lx-i has an idle problem. When the car is warm and in park the idle goes from 1250 to 1500 or even 1750 and back down constantly. i have already checked for vacuum leaks. there are none. if any body has any other ideas i could really use the input. thanks.

remove the top cover off the fast idle valve, 2 phillip screws ,get a screwdriver and turn in the big black valve in there ,, do not overtighten it ...

I adjusted the idle speed control valve on the old one and the new one but all it did was drop the speed of the idle cuz it still hunts. does any one have any other ideas cuz im all out of them. I've tried every thing thatmybuddys and I know of but we still cant figure it out. any and all help would awesome and much appreciated. Thanks

Check your coolant and make sure it is toped off and bleed since it runs through the bottom of the fast idle valve. If that doesn't help then you might want to read through some of the threads at 3GEEZ of other people that have had the same problem and you might find some other ideas of what to check out.
