oily spark plugs

Default oily spark plugs

seal seems to be new
car running hard
spark plugs have burnt oil.
please help
91 honda accord
5 speed

Prolly need new valve cover gasket's. Not a hard fix...

This is like a half hour job. Get a valve cover gasket kit from honda, but just make sure that you bolt head back on to 7 ft lbs.

which seal? lower or upper? the only way to change out the lower seals is to take off your whole cam/rocker assembly. its not as hard as it sounds tho. I'm sure that once those are replaced properly, your problem will go away.

just because someone replaced the top ones, that doesnt stop it from leaking.

First, is the oil above the nut part, or below it? Wire side, or spark side?

its not the valve cover specifically,

Its the spark Plug tube seals

op please search, this has been asked probably 50 times in the last month, there are 3 writeups that are constantly posted on here about it and im tired of finding them and posting them up.

if the oil is ABOVE the spark plugs that is. You need to replace the lower spark plug tube seals, which involves taking out the rocker arm assembly to replace them

get a valve cover gasket kit from advance, its less than 20 bucks.
