oil in sparkplug hole
Exaclty as it says, I was changing the spark plugs for this girl and she had some oil in one of her spark plug holes and the spark plug would not come out with any such force.
But what is wrong with car and what would need to be done, and any info on this would be greatly appreciated(about the oil in the spark plug slot). Oh yah I want to ask you guys so she wont be told wrong at the mechanic or get priced to high, or some stuff like that.

Re: oil in sparkplug hole
A Head Gasket.. do you know how much that could be to replace?and will the engine need to be taken out of the car?
I also heard that it is a compression, and valve problem causing a leak and that it would cost a lot of money, I was also wondering if you guys ever heard of that?

Re: oil in sparkplug hole (jok)
I have the same problem on my 95 Accord. I replaced the upper spark plug tube seal, but it's still leaking, which will only lead to the lower spark plug tube seal which is bad. To replace the lower spark plug tube seal, it is a b*tch, because you have to take everything off of the head basically to get to it, which is what the honda technician told me.
I've been driving around with oil in the spark plug hole for quite a long time, I don't see any power lost. I don't know when I will replace it...

Buy a valve cover gasket kit from honda. Pull your valve cover off and replace. Simple job shouldnt take more than a hour tops!

Sweet i have a leak in cyl 2 ill have to replace that. I dont know if it would be possible but could a fried piston ring contribute to a leak in the spark plg/combustion chamber?

Re: oil in sparkplug hole (E.A. Poe)
with a rag a screwdriver. I replaced my valvecover gasket and sparkplug hole gaskets with a completely new set. Took me like 45 minutes and I was taking my time.
