Oil change guide for an Accord Type R (99 CH1)
Hey all, new to the site, was previously an Irish rep for the SXOC (Nissan 200sx Owners Club).
Have an ATR now since April, and due an oil change.
Can anybody point me in the direction of a guide?
Have done loads on 200s, but just wanna make sure I'm missing nothing for sure
Thanks, Col

Not much different when it comes to oil changes on your Accord. No tricks or hidden things to watch out for on the H22.
• Run engine up to operating temperature then shut off
• Remove oil drain bolt
• Allow oil to drain
• Remove oil filter
• Replace oil filter (15400-PR3-004) apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installing
- once the rubber seal seats give the filter a 7/8 turn and your good. If you have an oil filter tq wrench the tq spec is 16 lb-ft
• Install Oil drain bolt (33 lb-ft)
• Fill with recommended oil
• Capacities;
4.8ℓ (4.2 imp qt) for an oil change including filter
5.9ℓ (5.2 Imp qt) after engine overhaul
• Recommended oil is API service SG grade
<- -30°C to 0°C use 5w30
-20°C to 40°C -> use 10w30 (preferred)

Thanks buddy, got it done before seeing this.
Was only wondering whether anything different needed doing.
Turns out no there wasn't, actually got it done quicker than my last 200sx

You'll probably find that a lot of things will be easier and faster to do on your ATR. In all of my years of owning and working on my own cars. My Accord has been the best of them. I found it even easier than working on my carbureted 78' Camaro. All the parts weighed twice as much as the Accords...
