I have been having a stuttering idol problem after its gets to temp. Sometimes cel light comes on. But now it wont start and im not smelling fuel when i turn it over and pump the gas. Im wondering if my fuel pump or tps might be the issue. Im a chevy guy and im not familiar with honda at all. But im starting to like them lol

You should be able to hear the hum of the fuel pump when you turn the key to the run position. It will run for a second or two to prime the system. Fuel pump is in the tank so listen towards the rear of the car.

They are really good cars,it's just (very hard) to deal with a CB7 that has been neglected. The maintenance part of ownership of these cars is something that must be a priority or they can and will be expensive.

I have 2 CB7's plus an 08 Dodge Ram with a diesel engine and do as much of my own work as I possibly can in my Garage.I heat it with a small electric heater when I (must)do work in the Winter.

I bought a 1991 Accord Ex 4dr found on Craigs List in 2014 for 350$ and 149,000 miles with no muffler and pinholes in the gas tank.I fixed all that for roughly 175$ mmmaybe out of pocket. This was from the elderly Original owner of the car and have had good luck with it and has not used any oil, doing 5000 mile oil changes.
I do remove the Trans plug every oil change and replace the roughly 2 1/2 Quarts of fluid that come's out .I use Castrol Import trans fluid for Honda's at Wallyworld its cheap and it works.I use WW SuperTech 5-30 Synthetic and Purolater oil filter it's cheap and it works.

I could easily own a newer vehicle, but really like the toughness of these little CB7's and they are(fun)to drive . I run 4 Snow tires in the Winter, that is the way to go.I live in Minnesota and that alone tells you that Winter can be Brutal at time's,to say the least.

The previous Owner put a Block heater in and that works and make's cold starting very, very easy.I have driven in Northern Minn at 30+ below and never been cold inside as the car's heater system works dam good and one must have (trust) in your older vehicle to venture out in that kind of weather day or nightJust fix whats wrong and drive it,wave at other owners of CB7's when you meet on the road
