NEED help guys...P1359
Went to Autozone and this is what I got:
P1359 Crankshaft Position (CKP)/Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor Circuit Malfunction.
Yesterday I hit another car from the rear doing about 5mph. Got out and found a little scratch on my bumper and absolutely nothing on the other car. Exchanged info and walked away.
This morning car starts fine. I drove for about one hour and parked it. Came back about 15 minutes later and turn the key and the car does not start. Doesn't even crank. I take the key out, put it back in, turn the key, and the car starts. weird.
Happend a few more times. Battery checked out ok, alternator ok, and starter checked out ok too. (at Advance auto parts)
I left there and the Check Engine Light came on with code1359.
Any help please??

the CYP(cylinder position sensor) is in the distributor. The TDC sensor and CKP(crank position sensor) is on the timing belt side of the crankshaft. The CKP sensor detects fuel injection timing and ignition timing for each cylinder. I think it might do engine speed too. If it detects a loss of signal from any of theese sensors, it'll pop that code...
For your engine not starting, I would change the Crank Position Sensor, since that's what determines your fuel injection

Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated. Also, I was just looking at the engine bay with the car running and it appears that the one of the pulleys, I BELIEVE the crank pulley, is kinda woobling. KInda moving shakin side to side. Doesn't look like it's going to fall off, but all the other pulleys look like they're on pretty tight compared to this one. (crank pulley)
Could I have done damage to the engine??
