Hi,

I am new here and got my self a Honda!!

My friend gave me a Honda Accord LX 2.2 v4 1995. It sat for two years after I picked it up, I brought it to the dealer and had him look at it, he did all the necessary such as changing the oil and all. He said that there was a ticking sound in the engine when starting up. When it's warm the ticking sound goes away.

The car runs great and haven't had any problems with it.

But after driving for a week the engine light comes on while driving. Not always tho, it has come on twice in six 10 minutes rides now. But then when I turn it off and I turn it back on the engine light is gone... it also doesn't lose power or anything.

I was wondering if anyone experienced a similar problem. I don't think I can't read the code out since it's gone after restarting the car.

I would like to keep the car since I've allready ordered some nice parts for it and want to give the car life again!

I'm driving this car in Wisconsin where it is 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

The next time the check engine light comes on, without turning off the car, pull the code by jumpering the blue service connector in the passenger side kickboard.
