Default MY HONDA SHAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so my 01 accord shakes something horrible while i idle and even worse when i turn the A/C on. i even hear it sputtering in the back. any ideas?????

have you driven it if so does the shaking stop?

if the shaking is continious you could have a engine mount lose or mount bushing gone bad if those are ok i would ckeck the crank?

as for the ac it just pulls power from the motor and makes it work harder there fore more vibration..and is most likley not an issue

Were you playing The Macarena in the car when it was on?

On a serious note maybe it's your engine mounts.

A little more backround might help us help you a little better. In other words, have you had the car for a while and it was fine, then suddenly start shaking? And the big question...has the timing/balancer belts been changed recently? If so, that's likely your culprit. Lots of folks who don't know these engines don't know to align the balancer shafts before the belts go on. Or, they see the alignment marks on the front shaft and do that one correctly, only to ignore the procedure on the rear shaft (quite different than the front). A bad plug wire, used and abused cap and rotor, and the aforementioned motor mounts could all be suspects.
