Default My 90 Honda Accord LX died while driving

Back in late May, I was driving and the engine just stopped. When I tried to start it again, it would turn over but never fully ignite.

The day it died, I remember having a fit with starting it because my steering wheel kept locking, if that means anything. Also, five minutes before it died, I turned the car off and as the engine turned off, the a/c was making a clipping noise, then I started it, drove off and it just died a few minutes after and hasn't started since.

It's been parked out front for months now and I occasionally try to work on it, but to no avail. My father is suspecting it's the igniter coil, but who knows.

It's got 200,000mi but everything in the car ran normally so this was extremely unexpected. Apparently my father tried starting it one morning and it wouldn't turn over, but later that day, I got it to start and it drove fine.

So what do you think is wrong with my car and how can I get it started?

I'm 20, with no credit history so this car is my ooooonnly option I need it. Please help.

I'd be most suspicious of the electrical part of the ignition switch, main relays are also a known problem in those years. Symptom is no fuel pressure when starting.
Crack open the filter fitting to see if fuel sprays the first 3 seconds the key is turned on. Or listen for fuel pump to run while CEL is on.

Usually the car stalling while running down the road will be a problem with the power to the secondary ignition, or the 'high' side of the ignition system.

You can check for power to the Black/yellow wire at the dist. with the key turned on. A test light is all that is needed. That power comes straight from the ignition switch contacts.
For gosh sakes, save yourself some $$$, consider a shop manual and get an accurate diagnose before throwing parts at the car.
