My 450hp 6th gen accord
First of all, I would like to thank Anthony at AV Engineering for all of his hard work on this one of a kind set-up! The car is a 6th gen Accord that was fully loaded from the factory so I wanted to keep everything as close to being a daily driver as possible. Anthony designed a custom top-mount AC/PS compatible manifold for the H series based on my set-up. The fitment is pretty tight but everything worked out better than I could have ever expected.
The car is a real monster on the street despite the heavy chassis. Traction isn't as bad as I would have expected since Anthony set-up the boost controller by gear/rpm through the sManager.
On 7.5psi the car made 283whp/230tq and 446whp/343tq on 17psi. The 446whp pull actually hit boost cut about 600rpm's early. Judging on other pulls Anthony said it probably would have made 460ish whp around 7600rpm. Either way, my original goal was 400whp so I'm more than satisfied and happy!
Here are the specs on the set-up:
Engine [*]AV Engineering Stage 2 Shortblock Package (CP/Eagle/Darton 300 sleeves)[*]Stock H22a Head/Valvetrain[*]AEM Adjustable Cam Gears
Fueling/Ignition[*]Precision 1000cc Injectors[*]Stock FPR[*]Walbro HP 255 Fuel Pump[*]Hondata s300 with boost control[*]NGK 3330 Plugs[*]Pump Gas[*]NGK Blue Plug Wires
Transmission/Drivetrain/Suspension[*]Quaife LSD[*]ACT 6 Puck Sprung Clutch[*]Tokico Illumina Adjustable Struts [*]Ground Control Coil overs with custom spring rates
Turbo[*]AV Engineering PS/AC Top-Mount Turbo Manifold[*]Precision GT35R SC6162e[*]Precision 600hp Intercooler[*]AV Engineering 2.5" Aluminum Intercooler Piping Kit [*]AV Engineering 3" V-Band Stainless Steel Downpipe[*]Custom 3” Exhaust[*]AV Engineering Oil Feed/Return Kit[*]AV Engineering Coolant Kit [*]Tial 38mm Wastegate[*]Tial 50mm Blow off valve

Re: My 450hp 6th gen accord (strukaccord)
very nice project! I am very impressed with everything!
couple of questions for you....
-You using the H22 transmission, and is that how you fit in the Quaife?
-What gas you running, just premium or e85?
-You didn't have any problems with the ignition system, sensors or anything (specifically the MAF)?
-How do you like the 6puck clutch?
-No traction issues eh? thats awesome, what kind of staged boost per gear did they set it up as? and what tires? i have problems with traction and am looking at new tires so just curious!
Congrats on the final outcome! it's good to see another accord done right! Keep up the good work!

using the f23 tranny
premium only
no problems with the ignition that I know of
no issues with the clutch - really like it so far
traction - well I really haven't launched it yet i've been babying it so far usually rolling in 2nd before stopping on it. the tires are 225/40-18 bfg's.

nice work on that boosted h in a 6th gen. av does some great work i see.
if its any help.. I run the h22/ h23 diff in my f22 transmission. they are all pretty much the same transmissions besides some gearing changes. not 100% sure about the f23 transmission though.

so does the f22 transmission... I can mathmatically do 196mph in 5th on my 17's with my setup... just a hair over 140 in 4th... etc etc etc. I know for a fact 4th gear will do every bit of what i calculated, 5th well thats just stupid... I dont even attempt it.
i see the turbo you have down as a sc6162e, is that a typo... and maybe suppsed to be a sc6152e? curious the specs on it, appears to be a t3 exhaust housing, what a/r?

-The f23a uses the same Quaife as the H22a.
-No break-up on the dyno. We had an issue with a weak OEM coil but we replaced it with a new one. That with the NGK plug wires, new dizzy cap, rotor button, enough engine grounds, and ngk 3330's and everything was good to go
-Every FWD car has traction issues to a certain extent. The way we set Ray's car up was to run lower boost in the lower gears then of course according to rpm increase the boost in relation to traction. Every car is going to use different settings but ray's car was a bit easier to work with because it's a heavy pig and has big heavy wheels

Yes, it is a SC6162e. We had PTE put this turbo together for us. It is a t3/t04e with a .63 a/r.

Re: My 450hp 6th gen accord (PrecisionH23a)
thanks for the help PrecisionH23a! I appreciate hearing back from you so quickly! That is true these are heavier cars, and with a heavy wheel, we are able to get a little better traction than some cars! that sounds like a great turbo you guys got also!
Once again great build and outcome very impressed!
PrecisionH23a, PM replied (don't mean to thread jack at all....)

that's some sick numbers, just curious does anyone build up the V6 accords after the 96-97 ones? I know the 3.0 supposed to be a pretty damn good motor and is really strong bone stock, (246 WHP on '04 models right?)
