Default Wheel Alignment

Recently we had an alignment done on our 1999 Honda Accord Coupe, now when you drive it, there is an odd sound coming from the right front as if there's some sort of rubbing noise. We also had the tires rotated. I took it back to the dealership, we did a test drive and they heard the noise as well, their thought was to rotate the wheels back to their original location. I still hear the rubbing sound, especially when applying the breaks. Any thoughts on this issue? Is it something to be concerned about. Oh by the way, the tire wear was even on all four tires and they did change the toe settings according to the service report. I appreciate any comments or suggestion you may have.

Thank you.
F.

Default Re: Wheel Alignment

Could be the tire rubbing, the rim rubbing, suspension component, brakes etc.... Jack up the front of the car and set both sides on stands, start the car and let it run. Watch as the wheel rotates and see if you can see/hear where the rubbing is coming from. If you need to take the wheels off and do the same process. Thats happened to a couple of my customers as well. I did an alignment and part of the fender cover fell off causing the tire to rub on it when the wheel was turned

Sounds like the guys at your dealership doesnt have much motivation cause rubbing sounds is a pretty easy diagnosis. Especially when you have a lift. They should be able to find the problem fairly quickly
