installing 1998 Honda radio into 1995 Accord
I want to install 39100-S84-A200 CD changer taken from my 1998 Accord into my 1995 Accord. I've got the correct plugs but since the 1998 doesn't use a POWER Antenna, I was curious if there is a way to trigger the power antenna with the 1998 changer? Any ideas??

you can tap into the power wire or the light,it will come on and off with tje radio, might have to make sure fuse can handle extra load.

No, it was from an Accord. I used a voltameter and found a contact in the back of the wiring harness that plugs into the radio that read 12V whenever the radio is on and nothing when the radio is off. I soldiered a wire into that contact and then connected it to the power antenna wire on the other connector. Evidently, the power antenna knows to raise up when it gets the 12V notice and holds there until the power drops out. I wasn't sure how it worked until I used a voltmeter on the original radio to figure it all out. I also installed a fuse link to protect the antenna motor.
thanks for the info, though.

Re: installing 1998 Honda radio into 1995 Accord (iam7head)
Actually, I just bought a new wire harness (male side $5) to fit the new CD player and a second harness (female side $5) to plug into the dash. The two harnesses then just wire together clipping the black wire of one to the black wire of the other, orange wire of one to the orange wire of the other, etc. The color on the wires is standarized. It's just that the harness for the newer CD didn't have a wire dedicated to the power antenna since the newer Accord didn't use a power antenna. that's where the voltmeter and added wire came in.

There are often three places for a plug in the back of the original unit ... one is round for the Antenna lead, one large for the wire harness and one smaller plug to allow the unit to interface with a second unit like a graphic equalizer or multiple CD changer, etc.

more often that not a 'phone jack' looking connection is for steering wheel controls.
any connector for an external EQ will be a DIN plug.
