Increased THUMPING (Driver Side)
Hey everyone, new to the forums thought I would come here and see if I can get any sort of help. Its been about a month that whenever I hit the accelerator, I hear a thumping sound right under the gas pedal, near the front driver side tire, on the floor. The harder I press the pedal, the faster and louder the thump gets. There have been times where the whole car would shake. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it starts as soon as I start the car and hit the gas. It's unexpected each time, but it does happen every time I drive. It stops when I go down a hill, that's what I noticed. I just got new front rotors about a couple of days ago, and it seems like it has been doing it more than often since that, or maybe it's just a coincidence. It is really annoying and I don't know how to pinpoint what it is. I googled it up and there are a lot of different answers for it. I hear it might be the upper and lower ball joints and have them replaced, maybe the tie rod and bushings, maybe an axle (did replace the axle about 2 months ago), maybe a trans axle popped out of the tranny, or maybe I need to grease the slip yokes or whatnot. The guy who put in my rotors said I needed new axle boots or something. He also showed me some wear on my tires, I haven't had tire balancing in a while, and I did buy a used tire for the front driver side a month ago, seems like thats the only side I replace each time. Anyone else experienced this problem? And if so, what was the solution? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Increased THUMPING (Driver Side)
Tires could be an issue,
Also I had a similar issue and the shop I let replace my rotors (was out of town without tools). They replaced a couple bolts on the rotors but the bolts extended out too far (they are supposed to be recessed a bit). Chewed the heck out of my rim. I also ended up replacing my wheel bearing and that noise went away. I still have my ball joints to do, but that noise is different to me than what you describe.
