Idle Low...Ummmmmm.....

Idle Low...Ummmmmm.....
I drive an 88 acord LX 4-Door... 1.8 ltr.... manual.....
So I had an idle problem (idle was at 150 rpm when engine was warm).....So I adjusted the engine idle screw and this helped for a couple days.
Now when I come to a sudden stop...or when the car is on an incline or decline the car idles low...ummmm......
What does this mean........
I need advice...I hate braking with my left foot to keep the car from stalling.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Low idle on a 1988 car can be hard to diagnos... But here goes:
When was the last time you tuned-up the car (new air filter, plugs and so fourth)?
How much mileage on the car?
On your car, low idle is most commonly caused by a very dirty air filter or dirty carb...
I recommend a full tune-up and a good carb cleaning... THen, if the problem persists, then you can diagnos it properly...
