Heres a write up if you need it:
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
The radio may contain a coded theft protection circuit. Always obtain the code number before disconnecting the battery.
2.2L, 2.3L and 2.7L Engines
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
3. Drain the engine oil into a sealable container.
4. Install the drain bolt with a new gasket. Tighten the bolt to 33 ft. lbs.
5. Remove the front wheels and the splash shield.
6. Remove the center beam.
7. Detach the Oxygen sensor (O 2 S) electrical connector.
8 Remove the bolts from the support bracket on the exhaust pipe.
9 Remove the nuts attaching the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
10 Remove the exhaust pipe and discard the gaskets.
11 If equipped with an automatic transaxle, remove the converter cover.
12 If equipped with a manual transaxle, remove the clutch cover.
13 Remove the oil pan nuts and bolts (in a criss-cross pattern) and the oil pan; if necessary, use a mallet to tap the corners of the oil pan. DO NOT pry on the pan to get it loose.
14 Clean the oil pan mounting surface of old gasket material and engine oil.
To install:
15. Install a new oil pan gasket to the oil pan. Apply liquid gasket to the corners of the curved section of the gasket.
16. Install the oil pan to the engine.
17. Install the oil pan nuts and bolts and tighten the nuts and bolts in sequence. Tighten the nuts and bolts in 2 steps to 10 ft. lbs. (14 Nm).
18. If equipped with an automatic transaxle, install the torque converter cover. Tighten the bolts to 108 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
19. If equipped with a manual transaxle, install the clutch cover. Tighten the bolts to 108 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
20. Install the exhaust pipe with new gaskets and new locknuts. Tighten the nuts attaching the exhaust pipe to the manifold to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm)and tighten the nuts attaching the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter to 25 ft. lbs. (33 Nm). Install the bolts to the exhaust pipe support bracket and tighten the bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).
21. Attach the Oxygen sensor (O 2 S) electrical connector.
22. Install the center beam and tighten the mounting bolts as follows:
Prelude: 43 ft. lbs. (60 Nm)
Accord: 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)
23 Install the splash shield and tighten the mounting bolts to 84 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
24 Install the front wheels.
25 Lower the vehicle and fill the engine with oil.
26 Connect the negative battery cable and enter the radio security code.
27 Start the engine and check for leaks.

Re: '99 EX 4 cyl oil pan gasket
i could be wrong, or missing something... but i thought i would comment just in case.
99 accord with a 5spd would mean it's a F23A1. i've yet to see one of these with an oil pan gasket. there is no gasket on this motor, they just use a thick bead of Hondabond/ grey RTV. secondly, 98-02 accords don't have a center beam to remove. only the exhaust and the engine-to-trans stiffener are under the pan (maybe the subframe is... i can't remember the last time i removed just the oil pan. it's always timing belt, clutch job, exhaust work...ect. so i always pull the subframe.)

yep, those directions are definitely for a 94-97 Accord but not a 98-02. After looking on HAP, the above post is correct, no oil pan gasket is listed and there isn't a center support beam in the front subframe.

Re: '99 EX 4 cyl oil pan gasket
Thanks guys, ya it's a 1999 VTEC 4 cyl. 5-speed manual, Accord EX sedan. So four cyl. engine. Why did Autozone sell me a pre-formed Fel-pro gasket for $30?? Guess I should return it. Anyone have a write-up for my engine and generation Accord?

Re: '99 EX 4 cyl oil pan gasket
its easy... i usually remove the down pipe for ease... and the trans bracket/dustcover for the tranny... make sure all the rings are off the studs or it will leak. don't over tighten or it will leak. also return the shitty aftermarket gasket and go pay the 20 bucks more for the honda one.. its easy to do if you have a lift and air tools but its a pain doing on the ground... then again im prob spoiled cause i work at a dealer... you don't want to do this job twice on the ground.. spend the money and do it right

as I said above, those directions are correct for a 94-97 Accord. I know because I've done it on that generation Accord and it doesn't matter if it was an auto or manual. The 98-02 Accord is different than the 94-97 Accord, and the user who posted didn't realize, that's all.

Re: '99 EX 4 cyl oil pan gasket
when was the last time you removed or installed a gasket on a 98-02 accord?
per the FSM and my own experience with these motors, there is no gasket.
page 7-36 of the factory service manual
"31. Clean and dry the cylinder block mating surface.
32. Apply liquid gasket part No. 08718-0009 evenly to the cylinder block mating surface of the oil pan and to the inner threads of the bolt holes, then install the oil pan.
NOTE:
-Apply liquid gasket in a 4mm wide bead.
-Apply a second bead where the two ends of the first bead meet.
-Do not install the parts if 5 minutes or more have elapsed since
applying liquid gasket."
Then it shows a graphic of the liquid gasket being applied to the entire mating surface. In the whole chapter on the engine rebuild a rubber gasket, or preformed gasket is never mentioned. I'm willing to bet their assurance is more sound that yours.
