Default Removing parling/e-brake button

Does the chrome plastic parking/e-brake button just screw off, or there is there more disassembly than that required? (98 Accord)

Being a plastic part, I'm reluctant to force it too much if that's not the way it's supposed to come off...

i replaced mine on my 92 accord lx. i believe its the same design. i used a pair of pliers to twist off the old one and a rag over the new one to install.

Mission accomplished. Thanks for the tip (no pun intended).
