how to remove stereo from honda accord 1998 lx sedan ?
I am looking for screws around it, but all i found were 2 screws on the bottom of the whole panel, removing them does not help anything

I have a 95 accord, try removing your ash tray should just pull out and give you access to the bottom of the radio....

Pull out the clock, one screw behind it. 2 screws on the bottom side (that you already found). Once those are out, keep pulling on it until all the clips release. Mine was stuck when I first tried to remove it, but keeping goin at it, and it will come out.

Use a small flathead or something small/flat plastic tool to unclip the clock and the trim piece.

I heard that a credit card works also to get it out. I personally used a small flat head screw driver.

Here's the instructions, from Honda, for installing the trunk mounted CD changer. Steps 24 through 28 walk you through removing the radio.

I have the same radio in my car ('99 LX) with a trunk mounted Alpine CD changer hooked up to it. One of the things I like about this radio is that no security code is needed.
