just a regular fuse, no breaker or fusable length

It should turn off when the window is all the way down or up. It should not continue to run.

though there is some complicated wiring on 5th gen driver side power master switchs.....basically, theres a 3rd wire, and when this 3rd wire fails, the window can go down, but not up

yes they do. The circuit breaker is located internally inside the motor. It is basically a set of contact points connected to a bimetallic wire. When you overload the motor, the wire heats up and straightens out slightly thus breaking the connection through the points. When it cools off (about 15 to 20 seconds) it goes back to it's original shape and completes the circuit through the points once again.

The only time it comes into play is when the window is binding.
