You can't "Pre-pay" royalty for music because there is no way to account for what music would go on them. The difference is the pre-formatting so it "looks" like a music CD.

The other difference is that stand-alone burners - you know, the ones that go with your home receiver, can only use music CD-R. And to make things even more fun, Music CD-R's contain Serial Copy Managerment System (SCMS) which keeps you from making a copy of a Music CD-R on a stand-alone burner.
Bottom line - don't buy Music CD-Rs, unless they are on sale for less than normal CD-Rs.

Verbatim, in my opinion is the best quality cd/dvd you can buy it will never let you down, many times have i burnt music or movies on another brand cd just to have them skip or look horrid on the tv( movies) until i went verbatim, never had a problem sense. Go to any "computer'' form and most will say Verbatim is the best.. downside sometimes a bit more expensive depending on where u look. my 2 cents
so try your music on a verbatim.
(ps it is also what i used on my factory oem radio in my 97 se worked great)

the older units have problems with certain media due to it's color. try different media....my 98 and 94 played burned CD's no problem as long as they were not purple or blue.....
