OEM Fog Lights wiring question, Did search, got nothing, its a tricky one
Ok heres the deal, I bought a pair of Oem replica fog lights off ebay. Wiring harness is different then the factory OEM wireing. I Have everything mounted and all grounds are good. BUT there is a one pin connector (brown) that i have to hook into the wiring harness of the fog lights so that the relay knows when the lights are on and it can switch the fog lights on. My problem is that the connector doesnt have any power. Regardless if the lights are on, the cars on or anything.
I jumped the wire that hooks into the connector to a 12v power supply and the fog lights turned on so I know that all other wiring is good. Im not new at wiring and I know all i have to do is connect that wire to my low beams and the lights will work but i wanted to know if there was a way to get the one pin connector to work. Its a brown connector located under the dash. It is held up by blue tape and the honda OEM instructions refer to it once I believe. Any honda techs that know what this wire is for and what is does or how to get it power please post. I have a 99 Accord Coupe EX thanx

If you dont have the fog light switch and relay that is the reason the connector is dead. It would be easier to tap into one of the wires going to the low beam.

I do have the Fog Light switch, as for the relay I am not sure which relay you are talking about.

Alright well for now I connected that wire to a power source that is only on when the ignition it turned to the II position, Everything works fine I just have to remember to turn the switch off in the day time while im not using my lights or the fog lights will stay on. Not a big deal and it was an easy fix for now unless anyone can tell me what that connector is
