Has anyone heard of Sonar tires?
Im going to buy 17" Motegi wheels with tires at NTB in a few days since I got ripped off at the last place I ordered from (www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com) I wanted 205/40/17 tires for my 94 accord and they recommended Sonar. Honestly ive never heard of them and they wouldnt give me a straight out answer of the quality of the tire. Has anyone dealt with these tires before or atleast heard of them?????

i have not heard of sonar tires and i cannot find any information on them from a reputable source (tirerack.com, consumer reports). I would suggest steering clear simply for lack of knowledge...spend the extra cash and go for a proven brand. tires are not something you wanna skimp on, they keep you connected

Something they sell at Pimp Boyz in my 'hood...or maybe it's VIP. I will never shop at either place again because the staff is mostly low grade morons from what I see. You might try a real tire and wheel specialist, in our arear I found some pretty knowlegeable folks at Sullivan Tire. But I've gone to the discount/direct employment connections for the local reform schools for the last time. Sonar? What do you hear? Probably the click just before the depth charge goes off.

This is a tire pretty much just made for Pep Boys and other tire places so they can have 4 for $100 sales. Not too bad if you just need to pass inspection but won't be performance oriented, quiet, or ride well compared to stock. If you failed inspection and don't want to spend any money go for 'em.
