Default My F23 Build

I have almost everything I need for my build, but I've never done this before and I'm just wondering what you guys think before I take it in.

F23
87mm pistons
Crower Maxi-lite rods
DH-Racing stage 4 highly ported/polished head
H23 manifold with DH-Racing custom plenum/tb combo a single tb version of this: http://i217.photobucket.com/al...1.jpg
Street strip crower camshaft
MSD ignition
Injectors -- undecided on size
High flow fuel pump
12lb fly w\ street strip clutch

Hoping this will be a vast improvement over what I have. I'm not sure what size injectors to use at this point but I was thinking 300cc. Any comments or power predictions would be appreciated. Like I said this is my first build so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping i'm not overlooking anything.

Do you plan on sleeving it cuz I'm pretty sure you're gonna have some issues with cylinder wall thickness if you bore the stock sleeves to 87mm. What compression ratio?

Can I ask why you're choosing a tb/im setup like that? Is this going into an accord or something else?

Crower doesn't make a camshaft for the F23. I'm sure they could, but there are other manf out there with F23 cams already.

Default Re: (BlkChryKord)

from what everyone's told me 87mm is no big deal just 1mm difference
dave hickman from dh-racing is having crower make me a cam to his specs
i chose the tb/im setup on dave's recommendation that it will far outflow most other setups. i'm using a single tb on top of his custom plenum, so not quite what's pictured. not sure about compression ratio, I was told that is to be determined by the gasket thickness. They're dish pistons but taller than stock.

Just from that glimpse of it I'd say you'd better be running a pretty high compression ratio and wild cam to take advantage of your intake manifold setup and headwork. He needs to be able to atleast give you an idea of compression ratio within .2 or so even if he's not sure which head gasket your going to use yet.

Yeah, I'm going to ask him about that. Thanks!
