Default Fuse with different Amp

Hi!
Recently the fuse for 'radio-cigarette lighter' of my car blew up when I was used a cell phone charger in the cigarette lighter. It probably blew up because there was another wire (a wire for woofer) somehow attached to the fuse-socket from outside. Also, I pushed and held my cell phone charger for a few seconds in the socket. I think the fuse got overheated then. So, what I have done now is I've put a 20A fuse in the fuse-socket that requires only a 15A fuse (meant for radio-cigarette lighter). I believe I can now easily use my woofer (which I think is not connected in a right way. But I'm fine with the way it is), radio and the cell-phone/laptop charger easily at the same time. I hope it doesn't create any problem with my chargers.

Kindly let me know if I did something wrong by doing this.

Thanks for your help!

p.s. The model of my car is Accord 97.

Regards
AdventurousDude

Yeah, not good, rewire stuff correctly always.

What you did was an incredibly ghetto fix and will cause more trouble in the long run.

Agreed. Double check and/or fix your woofer wiring. If a fuse keeps popping, it means that something is wrong and you're being protected from fire, not "time for a bigger fuse."
