Flashing "S"

Flashing "S"
About 6 months ago the S on the dash started flashing on my 91 accord although the car drove just fine. Codes were cleared and the S stopped flashing til just recently. Although the car still seems to drive fine , the speedometer now reads zero (off and on). When the connector is jumped the "S" flashes code 1, code 2, code 4, code 7, and code 8. The CEL simultaniously flashes a code 17. Was wondering if a bad TCU could cause all these codes to be flashing? Also was curious if the "S" light and the CEL are controlled by the same computer?
