F23 ulev question for g23 conversion
I have a 2000 accord with auto trans and F23 Ulev vtec. I would like to know if I will need to do an Obd1 ecu to do a G23 conversion with and a 5spd swap. I am looking to do this conversion but I want to be able to pass emissions. Also are the emissions levels different on the ulev model as apose to the non ulev models? I know the Ulev was for better emissions in Cali and other states which is why I would like to know if it is different. I now live in Colorado where the emissions is more relaxed but the still have to pass a certain number.
thanks

Re: F23 ulev question for g23 conversion
If you still need to worry about emissions, I'd suggest just doing a full H swap and use an OBD2 prelude ecu. From what I can understand, the frankenstein engine will need to be carefully tuned cause it's 2 different motors combined, which means switching to OBD1 and having too much trouble trying to get it to pass each year. I almost did the f23/h22 swap in my Accord, but decided swapping in a pure stock H motor will be MUCH more reliable, cheaper, and less of a headache in the long run.

Bairdandrew definately has a point.
I drive a G23 and i dont think it would go through emissions.
A Stock H should get you there easily.
Hybrid motor would need a amazing tune up to get through emissions.
