F22B vtec to F22B non vtec?
So my sister ordered the wrong motor (non vtec f22b) for her 96 accord. Is the non vtec f22b still a direct swap? I dont know much about accords just trying to swap my sisters dead motor.
thanks

Re: F22B vtec to F22B non vtec? (lexx)
As far as I remember it shouldn't be an issue, the motor mounts should be able to hold that engine. As i had a friend with a 96 accord and he went from the sohc f22b vtec to doch non vtec and it bolted in just fine. Hopefully someone else can chime in on this subject if I'm not correct.

It is a direct swap mechanically but you will probably need to replace the P0J VTEC ECU to a P0A non-VTEC one so it won't throw any codes.
I just so happen to have an OBD2a P0A out of a 96 Accord Non-VTEC F22B2, 5sp. If your in the market shoot me a PM.
