F22 motor & H22 Tranny, TCU question?? Please help
Sorry if its a long post. Just wanted to get enough info for you guys.
I have a 1997 acura cl 2.2, totally stock and its automatic. I am new to the honda world so bare with me. I know it has a f22 motor. I had tranny issues and now have a jdm h22 auto tranny with lsd that I put in since i had trouble finding a f22 tranny with low mileage that was in good shape
Its driving good and the tranny shifts really good BUT does shift a little hard. I read about making sure the kick down cable is adjusted properly and the idle air is adjusted and all that good stuff. Which i will check.
My question is what TCU should i be running? As of now i am using the f22 tcu that came the car. Should i be running the h22 tcu? But remember f22 motor with h22 jdm tranny
Basically need to know what TCU should i be running with this engine/tranny setup i got and if I should get the h22 TCU should make sure its the jdm one?

Im fairly certain that the tcu for your car is integrated into the ecu. Therefore you cant remove it without changing the ecu (which isnt done often in auto hondas).

I am not so sure about this? I thought i was pretty sure there was a TCU separate from the ECU in automatics.
