Default Engine howl

Hi,

I have Honda Accord 2005, 4 cyl. At about 6000 miles the engine developed a low pitched howl. You can hear it while the engine is running; you can hear it for a sec when you stop the engine. Why is this and how dangerous is it?
Another thing – it does not howl on a cold engine, only after the engine warms up…

TIA
Andrew

You're under warranty, take it to the dealership.

90% of the time it is an intake issue.
Either you are missing the filter or you have water in your resonator box. Sorry i misread the mileage

Well, as far as I can say it howls around an intake area... But how come it howls only on a warm engine?

good question. get a 8mm socket, long extension and a 1/4 ratchet and pull the air filter cover off.
