Hello everyone, i have an issue w the driver's door latching mechanism. the issue i have is that i have to partially actuate the latch w either the interior or exterior handle in order to lock/unlock the driver's door manually or electronically. this sometimes confuses the auto door lock mechanism and keeps relocking all the locks until i manually pull on one of the door handles and manually position the latch in full unlock position. i already have the door panel off and looking at the latch inside the door but due to limited visability i can't quite make out wat the issue is. please help...

in more detail...i got the car with no electronic door locking module and a key was broken off in the lock and left to corrode inside. i have since replaced the module and took apart the lock, removed the broken key, cleaned it and put it back together w/o having to remove anything other than the actuator lever on the rear of the outside lock assembly. Everything i have done works greats but the latching mechanism still acts the same regardless of what has been fixed.

even more detail...i notice that when i partially actuate the locking mechanism with one or the other of the handles, the lever on the side of the lock assembly moves away from the lock then it gets to a place where the lock rods can actuate the lock/unlock position freely in the latch assembly. otherwise it is locked from moving when the handles are returned 'home'. the other doors do not do this. Is this a latch replacement issue, electronic actuator issue or an adjustment issue? #scratching head#...
