Driver side mirror broken. Please help!
Walked out to my baby this morning and someone had broken the entire mirror assembly off. It was hanging by the wire. Someone has a deathwish. I need to get a replacement ASAP, but I need your guys' help. This may be a little difficult to explain without picture (i'll post some later), but I'll do the best I can.
The mirror housing was broken at the base of it, where it attaches to the car body. Everything found at the base was broken, so it will not mount back up. I have found some OE replacements like this http://www.familycar.com/store/item/...02_HO30EL.html
Will this replace all of the broken parts that come RIGHT before where the assembly meets the car door?
Also, this product says its for the sedan--will it fit the coupe? My stock mirrors are not folding--will these folding mirrors line up directly?
Does anyone have a picture of all the parts listed in the mirror housing on the 6th gen?
Thanks guys

This is my sad little mirror, or lack there of..
I need to know if i am going to have to remove the insulation stuff and replace it.
Also, do I need to replace the motor, since the arm of it is broken?

You might just need the housing and the mirror, if the actuator still functions. Kind of looks like the actuator shafts and boots are still on the actuator.

Re: Driver side mirror broken. Please help!
Sweet-- i checked out Rock Auto I'm really interested in this part. http://info.rockauto.com/BodyParts/D...rts/63548H.jpg
It says it comes with "power remote," does that include the actuator & shafts? Also, they probably don't supply the glass mirror, do they? I'll have to contact them about this if you guys dont know.

Also, couldnt I just replace the mirror with a manual mirror? i dont ever use the switches to adjust--wouldnt that be much easier/cheaper?

I purchased mine on ebay. Search "accord mirror 98" and you will find new ones for 30 bucks free shipping with glass.

i reccommend this brand http://www.kool-vue.com/lookup_detai...D&id=1998&pg=1
part# HD33EL should be what you need for a 98 coupe folding w/ power. i dont think sedan mirrors will fit.
i just bought one of these for my aunt's 02 civic and it bolted on perfectly, it came as a whole assembly with the mounting base and gasket attached. so basically you just have to go on the inside of the car unbolt the 3-4 mounting bolts and unplug the electrical connector and take the whole assembly off, then replace.
