My CC has not worked since I bought the car, Its a 94EX MT.
I've replaced the actual unit, the ecu thing, and the button on the steering wheel.
The light comes on the dash button, but not on in the cluster when i press the button the the wheel. My speedo and odo work fine. I've searched everywhere...ANYONE??

You may have an issue with the stop lamp switch, mounted down by the pedals.
Remember that the cruise control releases when the brakes are applied and if it either has an open (in the switch) or the connector's damaged - the cruise will not engage.

you can also have a faulty clutch safety switch that is seen a closed circuit and causing the cruise to not set. or a brake light switch that is partially closed to where the cruise is not setting.
remember the clutch switch and brake light switch are a safety feature so if you depress the clutch or bake it will cancel the cruise until reset.

i have the same problem with my 99 accord.
But after looking around i noticed the CC cable that gets hooked up on a plastic mount right on the throttle body came off. Just like a brake cable on a bike, there's a metal stud at the end, just clip that back onto the CC mounting piece thing and see if that works.

Did you test the two safety stop switches with a multimeter?

Hate to revive an old thread, but what was the remedy after the junkyard visit?

I noticed this on my floormat of the car. Took a look under and I'm sure it use to rest on the cruise control switch.

check out the thread on brake lights that stay on when the car is off. I just had that happen and made a temp fix..now cruise control is not working. I've already ordered the plastic part just like the one you have a pic of.

i have a 95 accord and a couple weeks ago my neighbor told me the brake light was on i checked and the headlights were off so i figured the same thing. Brake light switch! I checked and this little tiny black plastic button that was mounted to the brake pedal shaft (where the brake switch touched when releasing the pedal) had broken off and fallen on the floor. I found a temporary solution that turned off the brake lights but hadn't even thought off the CC. A couple weeks later wife took a trip out of town and when she returned told me that it was not working a zip tie through the hole positioned with the fat locking part on top did the trick. Now brakes work normal and so does CC. Zip tie has to be big enough that the lock portion will not fit through the hole. Good luck everyone.

1995 accord LX 347000 miles and still going strong. Original motor new radiator, new rad fan, all new front suspension, and a few other parts.
