93 Accord Shifting problems
Hey i have a 93 Honda Accord and I have been having problems with it's shifting. I have talked to some people and they told me to change my Solenoid and I did, it helped but Im still having problems. When I stop at a stop sign and try to go it doesn't have any power to it at all, it hardly makes it up hills. Also when I put it in gear say if I want to go in reverse the d4 is still lit up at the same time as the reverse. The d4 always stays lit up. Can someone please help me?
It also idols rough at stop lights/signs. If that helps.
I forgot to add that when I stop and a sign or light and hit the gas to go it wont shift into 1st gear it starts out in 2nd or something. The only way to 1st works is if i put it in 1st but it doesn't work when I have D4 selected.

Re: 93 Accord Shifting problems (afan06)
have you checked for TCU codes?
Try unhooking the battery for a minute then see if the car shifts correctly the first time , then starts acting goofy again. That might mean the TCU is bad.
Get out your shop manual and your pressure gauge set and do the line pressure tests.

i had a car in the shop with kinda the same concern as yours. come to find out that his fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump were bad. check your fuel pressure and see if it is below 47psi. if it is, i would start there. fuel pump was about $400 and the regulator i want to say was $100
