CEL Codes - Misfiring and P1399 '97 Accord
CEL came on not long ago, then started blinking before I had the chance to figure out what was going on. Took it in, codes were: misfiring on numbers 2 and 4, and a P1399. No one has been able to tell me what P1399 is.
My car has been running fine, regular gas mileage, etc. I checked the dizzy, plugs, and cables, all seem to be fine as well. I've ordered some injectors, new plugs, cables, and dizzy just to see if that helps. Any suggestions beyond what I've come up with?
Also, a/c started blowing warm, went to recharge and found that the compressor wouldn't kick on. So i jumped the low pressure switch, still wouldn't kick on. Am I looking at a bad compressor, clutch, or both?
Any and all help is much appreciated.
Thanks-

No such animal as P1399 that I can find.
P1359 is TDC crank sensor?
Maybe it was a generic scan tool and "ran home to momma" because it saw a code it didn't know?
EDIT: I found this; P1399 Glow Plug Circuit High Side, High Input .
You could have said it was a diesel Honda LOL

It's not a diesel. The mechanic I took it to was suprised at the 1399 as well, said he'd never seen it before (it's a straight Honda and Toyota shop, so I'm pretty certain it wasn't a generic scan tool, but you never know).
From posts I've read, it seems it's either the injectors or the TDC sensor, as you mentioned. I've never repalced a TDC sensor, anything special about that I should be aware of?
Thanks again for the help-
I go thinking, i diesel would be kinda cool, but then I thought a diesel Accord..nice...lol

Re: CEL Codes - Misfiring and P1399 '97 Accord
Hi guys. New here and trying to get some help. Got a 2000 Honda Accord V6 last year. Check engine light came on and I was told that I needed new spark plugs cuz everything was misfiring. The dealership told me I needed a new new EGR valve too and they replaced it. My car would start but the rpms would drop and car would shut off. I could usually keep it running if I kept giving it gas. Now just this week it the check engine light came on and the I was told a p1399 code is coming up. Anyone know what this means and what I need to do...need another EGR, spark plugs?

P1399 is defined as random misfire. It just means that misfires were detected with no specific cylinder.
I would use the factory scan tool and observe live data before anything.
PGM-FI main relays were problematic on Hondas during about a 10 year span, including the 2000 Accord V6. The failure of this relay can cause the engine to start momentarily and shut off. Ignition switches also had some bad runs which could cause stalling.
Misfires and stalling are not easy to diagnose and unless you have a bunch of money to spend throwing parts at the car, a great deal of automotive understanding or at least some cash to pay a qualified technician to diagnose the symptom it could take a while to get the correct guess through the internet.
