hi. i have a 97 accord lx, i tried jumping the harness to get the code.
the code i got is 70 (seven long flashes).

my questions are what kind of problem is that, is it an easy fix?

I really don't know if it's the same as my '98, but here goes...

There's 9 different OBD-2 codes that all give 70 by the blinking CEL. (You could have AutoZone plug in their code reader...) All of them have something to do with the automatic tranny, so mostly, the tranny lamp will ALSO be flashing out its own code at the same time. Is it doing that??

There's only one that has NO tranny lamp flashing code:
P0725 = Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction?
I don't know if that's supposed to be a tachometer signal that the tranny is expecting to see? I'm sure the details about which wires to check are different from 5th-gen to 6th-gen so you'll want to get your hands on a Helm manual for your year.

I need help!!! My acord is throwing a code 30 & 70. I can't even get it in any gear now. btw it's a auto 97 accord lx.

I was driving and started to feel my tranny slippin now it just won't engage into any gear what so ever. It engaged into reverse after I rolled down a hill backwards and stop by gravity. Then that was the end of it , I just left my car there and now I'm here trying to find out whats going on.

Please help ASAP!!!
