Re: car starts and dies immediately, then only cranks
Hey guys I'm looking for some advice my 93 del sol with a d15b started out one day I was driving it and cut out like I cut the switch off then I let it set for a second the crank it back and go a few more miles and it would do thesame thing agen. I got it home and fired it up when u give it throttle it would die so I though it was the TPS. Put a new one on and dose the same thing now it just starts then dies. My fuel pump is running every time I turn the key on so I'm having trouble trying to figure this one out could it be the ignition switch?? Thanks for any advice

Re: car starts and dies immediately, then only cranks
I am new to this forum but I have a 95 accord that starts and dies immediately . I have replaced main relay fuel pump fuel filter, ignition switch checks out fine. However I can keep the engine running when it starts to die with carburetor cleaner, its like something telling fuel to shut off? Any help would be greatly appreciated . its driving me crazy, Also seems to be heat related. forgot to mention 4 cyl vtec automatic 195,000 miles

FIXED*** Re: car starts and dies immediately, then only cranks
FIXED***Here's your fix.
this was a headache and a half for me I figured it out I found this online and I want to pass it forward it is fuse #5 driver side box "meter" for the 2008-2012 Honda accord.
I hope this help somebody because what a headache and a half. I almost told my car 1.75 hours until I found this answer Honda Civic forum.

He just above ignition switch checks out fine.....
Ignore this guy, like I said it's the fuse for the "meter". It directly communicates with the EMC which is why the dash gauges aren't responding, and you don't have a green key displayed on the gauges display. That 7.5 amp fuse will make your car act like it's the fuel pump, or ignition switch, but really it's just the EMC isn't working properly, replacing that fuse on driver side will fix all this.
Good luck

Re: car starts and dies immediately, then only cranks
check all sensors (cps...) and main relay going in and out of ecu, also ecu could be faulty, check fuel system(filter) as well or could be faulty wiring
