caliper bolts tight but caliper still loose! wtf
As the title says. I also wedged a bar to hold the brake pedal down and then checked the caliper and it is still loose. It isnt wobleing everywhere it just has a little play left and right. Any suggestions? Thanks

Check your bolts that connect the caliper BRACKET to the trailing arm... the C bracket thing. The caliper should not have any free play if the pads are new, very little at least after a couple pumps of the brake pedal. The caliper design may be floaters, like my bmw and accord, but it should never have much free play. Your rotor should be screwed in tight during install to make it easier with the screws, you can remove them after install since the lug nuts hold the rotor tight against the wheel/hub.

The play is fairly minimal and I understand that I only have one piston and it floats. The reason I ask is because the other side is SOLID, no play on caliper. The bracket on the trailing arm is definatly tight on both sides. Kinda wierd.

Maybe the side with a little wiggle as you called it is the NORMAL side.... and the side that is tight is frozen up and not sliding like it is supossed to. Just a thought.
