A/C problems
i've taken my '90 accord into the mechanics just a couple of weeks ago to have them fix my a/c. it was blowing out nothing but heat, no matter where the temp dial was pointing at. i paid $350 for them to fix it and it was working great...until i tried to use my defrost. once i turned the dial to heat, i heard a "pop" and it's back to only blowing hot air.
i took it back in and they said it was my "actuator"...never even heard of that. i called the dealership and they said that it was probably my accumulator that needed replacing. basically the garage told me that there was a door that went back and forth for the cold and hot air and it was getting stuck on the hot side.
does that jive with anyone? any ideas as to what might be wrong?
thanks.

Re: A/C problems (mightykat)
the cable that runs your blend door is attaced to the heater ****. sounds like the gears that operate the cable are stripped, they are only plastic gears, and can cause the cable to come off. if that is the problem ,you will have to replace the heater control assy. and ****. also check to see that your heater controk valve is moving freely.
