Default brake pedal sinks to the floor

My brake pedal sinks to the floor when I stop my car. The slower I stop the more it sinks. When Im fully stopped at a red light the pedal is on the floor. This only happens when its hot outside though. During the day it would do this but at night braking is normal. My pads are still good. Anyone know what could be the problem and what I should be checking? Thanks in advance.

Oh and btw its an auto 5th gen if it matters..

looks like you need a new master cylinder...but I may be wrong....

You most likely just need to bleed your brakes. There is air in the lines.

Make sure you do it properly and in the correct order. If that doesn't work, a new master cylinder should fix it.

First make sure your fluid reservoir is full, and it's not leaking OUT anywhere.

Air in the lines feels like a mushy pedal right away. Then if you pump the pedal it'll hold until you release the pedal.

A bad MC feels good & solid at first, then it slowly & smoothly sinks to the floor.

Both problems seem to get worse with higher temperatures.

if you pump the brakes and the air is in the fluid, it will be high and low at various times irrationally, not going down to the floor slowly if press and hold down steady, while if you just press and hold brake pedal down steady and it slowly goes down to the floor, it is the master cylinder, I think.

search, some info in the archived posts. me and a few other guys posted about this just weeks ago. I ended up replacing my master cylinder. My pedal would sink even w/ the car off when it was really hot (pedal was more resistant to simking when it was cold outside).

Wow...my original reply to that.
"Is it just at a stop, or when your cars hot?"

Then I actually read your post. Master cylinder is my verdict.
