boggin out issue
hey guys I have a 97 accord se wit stock motor it has just over 200K and is having boggin out issues, at idle when the motor is cold it has no problem but when it warms up and im in drive, if i hold the brake at a stop it bogs putters and stalls out. iv already changed the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, distributor, rotor and valve cover gasket, iv also cleaned out the egr valve..but yet the issue still remains..anyone have this same problem? and if so had you solve it?..thanks

Re: boggin out issue
you tried cleaning the idle air control valve(iac) on the back side of the upper intake manifold? if its not there then just find the one with the electrical connector. fast idle valve does not have an electrical connector, iac does. the iac controls the idle when warm. make sure the coolant system is bled properly with the temp gauge inside the car turned all the way to the hot position.
any hissing air sound at all? check for vacuum leaks especially around the brake master cylinder and brake vacuum line

Re: boggin out issue
Could be any of these according to Haynes Manual:
- Spark plugs fouled
- Fuel injection system faulty
- Fuel filter clogged
- Incorrect ignition timing
- Intake manifold air leak

Do you hear an audible hiss from under the dash when the brakes are applied?
When was the last time the EGR and throttle body were serviced?
An audible hiss from under the dash could indicate a damaged Power Brake Booster. (internal vacume leak) This would (however) effect idle quality / stalling both cold and hot ....
At 200k, the PCV system may be working overtime and may have deposited slug / grud on the throttle plates and started gunking up the Idle Air Control Motor (Valve). A combination of a dirty throttle plate and a lazy IACV could cause this.
