Wanted to ask and see what type and weight oil everyone is using. I just bought a '96 Accord EX w/ 2.2L VTEC with 150,000 miles on it any suggestions on what to use.

You're supposed to run 5w-30 there Zak. Royal Purple in my Accord, Castrol GTX in my other cars.

5w30 Pennzoil Synthetic. I've used the high mileage oil in my previous car and platinum synthetic in my current accord w/ no problems. Sometimes you can find the 5 quart jug on sale at wal-mart. Avoid cheap oil filters like fram ones, I usually go for a purolator or wix aka napa gold.

I've heard Penzoil is junk. BUT I have no real experience with it.

Penzoil is one of the brands I used for 30 years. No difference. Oil is oil. Use it, change it, and don't over analyze it.

my oil cap does not indicate which oil to use.
