Where to find parts for my v6 Accord
I have a bad O-ring in my distributor which is causing oil to leak in and it's screwing with the igniter. I have searched every parts store in my area to no avail and even searched online to no avail. I also need the distributor cap gasket which can't be found either. Anyone know where to get these 2 seals/gaskets? My car is a 96 Honda accord 2.7L v6. The cap gasket is a big O-ring essentially, not the bullet shaped one I find all over the place. Any help would be appreciated. I also need the wires that hook to the igniter but I have no clue what to call them and I know those can be found in the junk yard, but if anyone knows where to get a new set please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Lol, not trying to use used gaskets/seals. Just seems messed up I can find this stuff for the 4 cylinder version of my car and for other models, but the v6 like I have can't be found. Im guessing from the lack of responses the Honda dealership is the only place to get this stuff new. I really hate dealing with the dealership because I can see them charging $20 for an o-ring.

I think what is being said is IF there is oil INSIDE the dist it isn't as simple as an O-ring - the shaft seal of the dist is gone.
So if the cost of an aftermarket dist is out of the question - try using "www (dot) car-part (dot) com" to search local bone yards for one.

A quick search - near me, less than 30 miles is a used one for ~$65, one of the big box retailers wants ~$220. You have to make the choice.
If you go for/find a used one, yes I would get a new o-ring from Honda ~$7 - OE PN# 30110-P0G-A02

Re: Where to find parts for my v6 Accord
Thank you very much for that part number poorman212!! I found the O-ring very easy on ebay, so if you know the part number to the distributor cap gasket, shaft seal, or the 3 wires that plug into the igniter please let me know. I dont eve know what the 3 wires that plug into the igniter are called so I havent a clue where to start looking for that part, but the wires have cracks in the insulation.

The thing in between 6 and 3 is the part I need to figure out what its called. Its got the 3 wires that hook up to the igniter and the proprietary end.
