Default Anyone swapped a Euro-R?

I'm was wondering if anyone out there had dropped a 2001 Accord Euro-R motor into a CD. I was wondering if there was a noticable difference between the results of a Euro-R swap compared to like a 95 JDM H22? Are there any problems converting the car to 0BD2? My tax return come soon and I was thinking about going through with it.

f20B
200hp / 145 tq.

h22a
200hp / 161 tq. (or 156 for USDM)

The prelude motor has more torque.. and you definetly want more torque to get an accord off the line. And also the f20 engine is more expensive (it almost costs as much as an f20c motor which is in the s2000. h22a aftermarket parts are more accesible and much much cheaper. Go with the h22

Thats not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a 2001 Accord motor. This motor comes with 220hp, and 163 lbs torque.

The f20b is actually the accord SiR engine I believe. The euro-r is a h22xx block (I know for sure the european type-r is a h22a7). Yes I'd go for the euro-r if you can get your hands on it... factory port/polish, lsd, higher redline, shorter gears, and 220 ps. the type-s is also a good/similar engine with 220ps but make sure you don't get the atts tranny, get the lsd. It'll run you around 2k+ more than a normal h22 but I think it's worth it over building your own h22 block, since it's straight from honda and will be less of a hassle.

yeah thats the motor i was suppose to get but i was a grand short. its a good motor i know a guy that has it in his 5th gen its faster than the H22 ive seen. but wat i really wanted was the tranny. its supposedly stronger and the gears are shorter. from wat i remember. its just a good motor all together i think.

Accord Euro-R has a H22a7, thats correct.
It has 212Hp not 220.

true, it's 220PS actually. the h22a7 was the original euro-r engine, then japan produced an accord type-r with a R-spec h22a (i dont believe the japan model had a number code but i could be wong.) that engine had minor differences and replaced the original h22a7 in models produced post-ATR.

i wouldn't put up the extra cash over a normal h22a unless:
1) you wont be happy with 200hp
2) you dont wanna mod your engine
3) you want it for show.

basically because an h22a plus the $1000+ you save will get you more power. a good i/h/e combo will net 200whp (i've seen it), more whp than the type-r engine stock.

but then again, you cant beat oem power, of course, that's only a factor it you plan on keeping it stock if you take the plunge.

You'll have as much or more power but you'll still have to buy an lsd (which will be aftermarket) and your tranny won't be as good, so I'll bet that you'll still be slower than an accord w/ a euro-r swap. I think it's a better value because you're gonna spend more than 2k on a good intake, clutch, flywheel, exhaust system, port & polish + labor. I'd rather put my money on something that came straight from honda.

BTW just to clarify, the old japanese version is the euro-r h22??, the old euopean version is the accord type-r h22a7, and the new japanese euro-r (not sure about the new european type-r) has a K series engine (Either a k20 or k24). You can translate the japanese honda website and find this out.
