Any difference between brake pads for Akebono or Nissin brake calipers?

Any difference between brake pads for Akebono or Nissin brake calipers?
I've been doing some comparative shopping for some new brake pads for my 1994 Honda Accord 4dr EX. What I've found is that some online stores state a particular set of pads are for either an Akebono or Nissin brake caliper, while other pads make no mention of that.
Is there a difference in brake pad design for those particular brake caliper models? If a pad doesn't mention anything about those calipers will it fit my calipers just fine?
Thanks

it's very easy to tell which ones you have it will say "Nissin" on the caliper part that is facing the front of the car if you have Nissin. If not, then it's Akebono.
Also Nissin came on Japanese made cars. Your vin will start with a J
Akebono came on American made cars. Your vin will start with a 1

Thanks. I've confirmed I have Akebono calipers.
How about the brake pads that distinguish between Coupe/Sedan/Wagon with no reference to currently installed Akebono or Nissin calipers? Is it assumed that these pads will fit both types of caliper?

I am assuming you are talking about the rear calipers/brake pads.
I have a 97 coupe and have Nissin calipers. As far as I know the brake pads are not interchangeable. Best way to identify the calipers is to take off a wheel (if you can't see them through the spokes). Here's a link that will help CLICK

actually my info was for 4th gen accords...i can not be sure that that info applies to 5th gens but I do know that the lower models don't have pads in the back they have shoes
and as far as for wagons I meant that they use a different pad altogether than the akebono/nissin difference
