accord wagons
hi my name is nick and i have a question for the accord owners. I have a 96 wagon with a rear swap,''so they say'' its a 2001 H23a v-tec engine. Its running fine but i think its running kind of rich. I have a obd2 p73 type r ecu, i want to know if this is safe for the motor or if i can tune this ecu. thanks.

If the swap was done correctly (read that as "completely") there would be no difference as to it being stock.

Re: accord wagons
well the egr sensor was not connected because the p73 type r ecu does not read one, but i think its running rich because the exhaust smells like more gas. the motor has no smoke ether black or white or blue, it just has a very strong smell. if is posible can you let me know if the egr sensor from the H23a motor is the same as the accord obd2 or the prelude H22. thanks:

2) You may indeed need to remap the injector curves. I believe because of both the displacement change and the Injector flow rate changes.
I'd pull a spark plug and interpret the insulators color. It should be sampled after the vehicle has fully warmed up and driven a few miles.
You are looking for a center electrode which is the color of a Dunkin Donuts coffee, extre extra light.
If you're seeing a chalk white electrode, it's too lean
If you're seeing dark chocolate or it's sootie, then you're too rich.
