Accord Brake Rotors (Vibration Upon Braking)
I have a 2004 Honda Accord ES with 18K miles.
Brake rotors appear to be warped or have "hard spots" (explained to me by a car techie friend). Hard spots caused by hot rotors (from normal breaking but stop & go traffic with caliper pads pinching rotors) forms the hard spots. He said Honda knows about this, but as you can imaging, Honda has yet to provide any inkling that this is not the first time that this has come up.
Irrespective of the actual source, I am unhappy that the rotors might need to be turned (reducing thickness of rotors and getting closer to having to replace rotors down the line). As well, I really don't want to get the runaround at the dealers and have to end up paying for service on something that is poorly designed.

im going to lean toward warped rotors.
either resurface them or replace them with new ones.
oem replacement runs about 30 bucks a pop. installation at my shop runs about 40-60.
when doing this procedure change out your brake pads too. and since your down there get your tires balanced.
rotors usually have about 3 turns on them at most, if the hot spots aren't too bad. when turning rotors there is a spec to follow can be no thinner than xxx(i forget the number though)
one thing to look out for is that one side is not wearing heavier than the other..

if your car has less than 36k you are fully under warranty you dont have to pay anything have dealer deal with it plus it is good to put a complaint in while car is still under warranty so if same problem occurs a bit after warranty there is a record on it
