225/45/17 on a 5th Gen.?
Before I get crucified. I searched the web for hours (here too), and got soooo many mixed answers. All I want to know (from people with experience!), will 225/45/17 on 17X7 +40 fit on a stock height 5th gen accord without rubbing?

You could do that, but even a 215 series would work fine. However, I believe the 225 series is more common and as a result, less expensive, so it's your choice.

Old thread of mine on 225/45/17's on my 1995, although I was at a slightly different offset.

Thanks twkd, I did see your thread before. So with +40 offset I should have
5mm more clearance between the vertical arm and front crossmember than you did with +45. Thats the way I am understanding this. AmI correct?
